This is a straight trade between convenience and distance. The Ofero Thunder (PKR 329,999) is the flagship of a brand built entirely around swappable packs: a 76.8 V 25 Ah IPX7-rated battery, 65 km/h, a claimed 90 km, and a feature list unusual for the price — 220 mm opposed-piston discs, traction control, cruise control and a 7.8-inch display. The Vlektra Velocity 180 (PKR 369,000) claims 180 km from a high-capacity LFP pack, the longest range figure in our entire directory.

The PKR 39,001 difference buys you roughly double the claimed range — if the claim holds. Vlektra does not publish the Velocity 180’s charge time, top speed or pack capacity in kWh, so the 180 km figure is the whole proposition and it deserves a test-ride reality check; no class of electric two-wheeler hits brochure range in stop-start traffic. The Thunder, by contrast, makes its bet on the swap model: if a charged pack is always available near you, its shorter range stops mattering.

That “if” is the crux. A swappable battery only beats a large fixed pack when the swap network actually exists on your route — and Ofero does not publish swap-station coverage. Ask the dealer to map the stations you would use daily before you pay, and confirm the warranty treatment of a pack you do not own exclusively. Meanwhile, check what a replacement Thunder pack costs: swappable ecosystems live or die on pack availability.

Our verdict: for equipment-per-rupee — discs, TCS, cruise, IPX7 — the Thunder is the stronger package, and it is PKR 39,001 cheaper. For pure distance between charges, the Velocity 180 is the only 180 km-class machine in the directory and worth its premium if your routes exceed 90 km — read the Ofero and Vlektra profiles first.
